We continue to make progress with the No More Close Calls campaign, and have garnered a successful amount of attention from both the media and the campaign’s website, nomoreclosecalls.ca .

Most recently, Global News dropped by earlier this week to cover the Don Mills Road and Kern Road intersection as part of Global’s evening news live segment. You can watch the news coverage here: http://bit.ly/2ELWq5I . The dangers posed by this intersection were also covered in Metroland Toronto, which you can read about here: http://bit.ly/2opU0D0 .

This level of media attention for a local issue is definitely a representation of how important this issue is for the public, employees, children, and surrounding businesses.

This intersection, which does not have a traffic light, has a history of pedestrian and vehicular accidents. TREB and surrounding organizations will continue to demonstrate the traffic dangers until the City of Toronto takes action.

We are asking for your help to get this message through to the decision-makers that will put an end to traffic dangers posed at this busy intersection.

If you haven’t done so yet, I encourage you to visit the campaign’s website, nomoreclosecalls.ca , to easily send an email. The website does all the work for you!

Remember, every email counts! Don’t wait for a serious accident or loss of life to spur the City to make a change, be the change NOW! Thank you for reading and for your anticipated help.
