The 2019 Ontario REALTORS Care® Foundation grant applications are now available, and TREB encourages local shelter-based charities to submit an application to TREB, before the August 15, 2019 deadline.
Please note only local, shelter-related charitiesare eligible for the grant.The Ontario REALTORS Care® Foundation defines shelter as:
“a refuge, haven or protection that provides or improves quality of life from hunger, the elements, physical/psychological abuse, disabilities and illness.”

Grant Submission Process & Deadline
Send all completed grant application packages(including all required supporting documentation) to Christine Shallhorn at [email protected]no later than August 15, 2019.*
*You will notice on the application form link that a date of September 30, 2019 is listed for a deadline. This is actually the deadline for TREB to send our recommended list of grant recipients to the Foundation. Please abide by the August 15, 2019deadline for sending all charitable applications directly to TREB, for TREB’s consideration of endorsement. Please note that an endorsement from TREB is notsent aheadso that it can be included in your application. The endorsement process happens after we receive the application. There is a vetting process, and then reviews. An endorsement, if granted by the Member Services Committee and the Board of Directors, is then sent with the application package to the Foundation.
TREB’s Participation in the Ontario REALTORS Care® Foundation
From helping their clients find their dream home to donating to shelter-based charities, improving the quality of life for resident in the communities they serve is an important priority for professional TREB Member REALTORS®. TREB MemberREALTORS® have also played meaningful roles in the communities they serve, not only by helping individuals and families achieve their home ownership dreams, but also by giving back through volunteer work and by donating to charitable organizations.
Since 2008, a total of over $5 million has been donated to the campaign directed to shelter-based charities across the TREB Member area through TREB’s participation in the Ontario REALTORS Care® Foundation’s Every REALTOR® Campaign.
In 2018 alone, $608,784 was raised by TREB Members and was successfully donated to 74 shelter-based charities across the GTA.
At TREB’s May 2019 Spring Annual Meeting, TREB Member REALTORS® voted to participate in the Ontario REALTORS Care® Foundation’s Every REALTOR® Campaign for the twelfth consecutive year by donating $1 per Member per month to the charity.
TREB is excited to announce that $643,680 was raised by TREB Member REALTORS® in 2019!
